Medium: Oil on canvas
Size:73 W x 92 H x 2 cm
Year: 2020

This painting is based on a real photo taken by a friend of mine — a spontaneous moment during a picnic with his girlfriend somewhere in the Romanian countryside. They made love on a red blanket, surrounded by nature, and some time later, she became pregnant with their son. I found something deeply beautiful in that story — the rawness, simplicity, and the fact that a new life came out of a moment of real connection and joy.

The piece reflects that intimate and primal energy. It’s about creation — not just biological, but emotional and symbolic. The flowers in her hand are an abstract way of showing something blossoming from within — from love, from the body, from vulnerability. The head in the clouds wasn’t planned, but it stayed — maybe because it captured that dreamy, transcendent state we sometimes enter when we feel truly connected.

It’s a reminder that love, in its purest form, is powerful enough to create — and that something ordinary, like a picnic, can become the beginning of everything.

This artwork is an original oil painting on high-quality stretched cotton canvas.

It was built up over multiple layers using professional-grade oil paints, allowing for depth, richness, and subtle tonal transitions.

The surface has been carefully varnished to protect the colors and provide a unified, slightly satin finish that enhances the details and brushwork.

The painting is signed on the front and will come with a certificate of authenticity. Edges are painted, so it can be hung without a frame if desired.

Durable, archival, and made to last a lifetime.
