Medium: Oil and acrylic on canvas
Size:73 W x 92 H x 4 cm
Year: 2019

This painting started with a moment — a close friend, caught mid-thought, her gaze both present and far away.
I wasn’t trying to say something specific, but I was curious about how emotion sits in the body — especially when we’re not performing, just being. The fragmented patterns came instinctively, like digital static or broken grids — maybe a way to echo the complexity behind that quiet pose.

The work plays with contrasts: soft skin and sharp geometry, warm tones and icy shadows, presence and distance.
It’s about not knowing what someone’s thinking, even when they’re right in front of you.
Or maybe it's about the beautiful mess of trying to read ourselves.

This artwork is an original oil painting on high-quality stretched cotton canvas.

It was built up over multiple layers using professional-grade oil paints, allowing for depth, richness, and subtle tonal transitions.

The surface has been carefully varnished to protect the colors and provide a unified, slightly satin finish that enhances the details and brushwork.

The painting is signed on the front and will come with a certificate of authenticity. Thick edges are painted, so it can be hung without a frame if desired.

Durable, archival, and made to last a lifetime.
