This painting emerged from a time of personal disorientation — a space between endings and beginnings, clarity and chaos.
I was entangled in something that felt exciting but uncertain — emotionally, romantically, even morally. There was beauty, but also danger. The figure represents a woman (or perhaps a version of myself) who’s caught in that liminal state: seductive, strong, but also strangely anonymous.
The silver leaf covering the face wasn’t just an aesthetic experiment — it became a mask, a veil, a loss of identity. In hindsight, it mirrored exactly how I felt at the time: exposed yet hidden, seen yet unknown — even to myself. It’s like the more I was trying to show, the less I actually revealed.
Set against a textured, almost surreal background, the figure becomes untethered from a specific place or time — just like I was then.
This piece is about the masks we wear when we’re lost, and the fragmented identities we adopt while searching for something real.

This artwork is an original oil painting on high-quality stretched cotton canvas.
It was built up over multiple layers using professional-grade oil paints, allowing for depth, richness, and subtle tonal transitions.
The surface has been carefully varnished to protect the colors and provide a unified, slightly satin finish that enhances the details and brushwork.
The painting is signed on the front and will come with a certificate of authenticity. Edges are painted, so it can be hung without a frame if desired.
Durable, archival, and made to last a lifetime.
