This piece was inspired by a fleeting, tender moment I witnessed at Boom Festival in Portugal — a young woman sitting by the lake, bathed in sunlight, seemingly lost in her own world.
What drew me in was her fragility — not in a weak sense, but in the way something can be delicate and powerful at the same time. She felt like a soft presence in a loud environment, like she was made of stillness and quiet sensitivity while the world spun around her.
The pose, the downward gaze, the tension in her fingers — everything spoke of introspection. There was a beauty in her retreat, as if she was protecting something sacred within herself. In translating that into paint, I focused on the atmosphere as much as the figure — light, texture, and distortion blending to express both her outer calm and the complexity simmering beneath.
It’s a meditation on how vulnerability can be a form of strength, and how the feminine holds space for subtle emotional depth that often goes unnoticed.

This artwork is an original oil painting on high-quality stretched cotton canvas.
It was built up over multiple layers using professional-grade oil paints, allowing for depth, richness, and subtle tonal transitions.
The surface has been carefully varnished to protect the colors and provide a unified, slightly satin finish that enhances the details and brushwork.
The painting is signed on the front and will come with a certificate of authenticity. Edges are painted, so it can be hung without a frame if desired.
Durable, archival, and made to last a lifetime.
