Out of the Fog

Sale Price:€500.00 Original Price:€700.00
sale

Medium: Oil on canvas
Size:73 W x 92 H x 2 cm
Year: 2020

This piece was born during one of the heaviest chapters of my life — when alcohol had become a quiet but constant companion. I painted this figure in motion, hunched yet moving forward, wrapped in red — a symbol of temptation, shame, and also strength. The foggy background reflects how life felt then: unclear, heavy, disconnected.

But what matters most is the motion. That forward lean. That gesture of still going.

This work marks the beginning of a shift — the moment I started choosing myself. It’s raw and honest, but ultimately it’s about resilience. About walking away from old patterns and into clarity.

I no longer carry that bottle. But I carry this painting with deep respect for what it helped me move through.

This artwork is an original oil painting on high-quality stretched cotton canvas.

It was built up over multiple layers using professional-grade oil paints, allowing for depth, richness, and subtle tonal transitions.

The surface has been carefully varnished to protect the colors and provide a unified, slightly satin finish that enhances the details and brushwork.

The painting is signed on the front and will come with a certificate of authenticity. Edges are painted, so it can be hung without a frame if desired.

Durable, archival, and made to last a lifetime.
