Industrial insulation pipes are reconfigured into an organic, almost bodily composition, suspended within a hand-sculpted gilded frame. The velvety flocked surface softens the material’s origin, creating tension between seduction and deterioration, artificiality and nature.

Chocho Viejo reflects an ongoing fascination with the poetry of altered matter — the point where erosion becomes beauty.
